ADYA’s Sena Addresses School Bullying Allegations: Denies Claims and Apologizes to Fans

On January 18, ADYA’s Sena addressed recent allegations of school bullying that have surfaced online. In a heartfelt apology, Sena expressed feeling both “sorry” and “wronged” by the controversy, emphasizing her concerns and desire to clear her name. With many accusations flooding in, all eyes are on whether Sena will be able to prove her innocence.
The school bullying claims against Sena emerged through online communities and social media. A classmate from Sena’s elementary school in Incheon even shared her graduation album and photos, claiming that Sena’s past behavior and words were problematic. Some of the accusations included claims that Sena and her friends had bullied classmates and even threatened them.

Additionally, there were reports that Sena disrupted classes by grouping together with friends, using harsh language toward her peers, and even receiving threatening DMs from unfamiliar male students. The claims also mentioned that exactly a year before ADYA’s debut in May 2023, Sena had reached out to apologize to a victim for her behavior during her younger years.
On January 12, a photo of Sena was posted on ADYA’s official social media, where fans commented accusing her of being a bully. In response, Sena wrote on the fan communication platform “Fromm,” saying, “I’m sorry. I’m a little wronged. Please wait a bit. I’m really sorry.” She expressed her regret for not being able to interact on the platform earlier, fearing that her fans might hate her. Sena shared her feelings of guilt for disappointing her fans.
Sena firmly denied the bullying accusations, stating, “I don’t know if people will believe me, but I’m telling the truth, and I’ve never bullied anyone.” This statement drew attention as she denied the school violence controversy altogether.

In the entertainment industry, many stars have previously been victims of false accusations and fake news. Actor Jo Han-sun, for example, was falsely accused of school bullying, but his agency quickly denied the claims, and his classmates defended him, stating he would never engage in such behavior. Similarly, comedian Hong Hyun-hee was also a victim of false school bullying claims, but after filing a lawsuit and clearing her name, the accuser retracted their statement. Actor Choi Ye-bin also faced school bullying allegations, but the accuser later apologized after admitting the claims were false.
The rise of online communication and anonymous allegations has allowed some to find the courage to speak out about their past trauma, and the support and solidarity for victims are important in uncovering the truth. However, many of these posts are one-sided and rely on memories from long ago, which highlights the need for clear verification of the facts.
For now, Sena has drawn a clear line, stating, “I’ve never bullied anyone.” The focus now is on whether her side of the story will prove to be the truth.
